About us

Hi, my name is Tomáš Rajnoch. My wife Maruška and I have traveled a bit of the tea world and finally settled on a farm in South Bohemia, where we organize summer tea and ceramic courses together with other friends, experts and artists.

The mood of the sensitively renovated cottage, the gardens hidden in the yard, the tea room inspired by many journeys to the East, and the surrounding meadows and forests create a wonderful atmosphere for diving into the depths of the world of tea, learning, creating, and meditating.

Journeys for tea

My tea journey began in the early 2000s in a tiny Prague tea hosue and continues with several trips to China, which became regular since 2011. Every spring for a fresh harvest and sometimes in the fall.

In 2013 I founded the Meetea brand and started sharing my tea discoveries through the first Czech tea subscription.

In 2015 we started organizing weekly summer tea courses in the countryside of South Bohemia called Summer Tea School and later Tea Symposium. I created my first tea space in an old country house, the atmosphere of which perfectly matched aesthetic of tea.

Meetea tea studio

In 2016, using all my experience and inspiration, I created a real home for Meetea – a cozy tea studio, an oasis of peace in the center of Prague.

In 2018 Jakub Seif joined me and we regularly opened the studio as tea shop and tea house focused on top-end teas and Czech author's wood-fired tea ware. Together, we personaly sourced and carefully selected hundreds of amazing teas, hosted many workshops and tea tastings, curated exhibitions of tea-related art, and warmly served tea to many kind guests.

Embraced by nature

After Covid, 12th trip to China and years of studying tea from a historical, technical, and sommelier perspective, I shifted my focus on how tea culture can make our lives in the 21st century healthier and happier.

In 2026, I left Prague and fully moved to the village where I live with my family. Living slowly, close to nature gives me great inspiration for my tea journey, wood-fired pottery, gatherings and music.
